If you've wandered down your hair care isle at Whole Foods within the last month, you probably noticed this new line with everything on sale for $4.99 (regularly $9.99). No matter how much conditioner I have (14 bottles, but who's counting?) I can't pass up a good deal on a natural product. I've said before, I don't follow the curly girl method as I believe my hair responds well to the silicone/sulfate cycle better. I'm always still open to getting products that are natural though. They don't do any harm to my hair, so why not?
If you're in the isle now and trying to find reviews before you decide, my opinion is, that it's worth a try especially if you're still going to get it for $4.99...would I pay $9.99 for it, probably not. Here's the rundown...
Basically, every review I provide is taken from the angle of how the product worked within the L.O.C. moisture method. I first used this conditioner as a liquid, because water is the first ingredient. I co-washed then I added this, followed by olive oil...and forgot my cream that day, so that was it. My hair felt nice...but as with most natural products, after drying, my hair was super shrunken and felt rough. Then I tried using water, olive oil, and this as a cream, same results. Now when I did actually remember my actual cream, and used Andalou as the liquid, my hair stayed wet for a long time... hmmmmm. It provides a little slip...I would compare it to Oyin Honey Hemp type slip.
Overall it's not a bad conditioner. I'll finish the bottle, but it's not something i'll be dying to have in my bathroom at all times. Next time it's on sale, I might pick up a bottle of it just for variety. That's the liking I have for it. I think it will be nice as a deep conditioner, especially with having an all natural ingredient list. The bottles are just on the smaller side, so I didn't start with using gobs of it up all at once until I knew what it would do for me.
I say get it. It won't hurt you, it might help you. If you follow the curly girl method, you'll probably love it!
Until next time...
Love love,
LL
